PILGRIMS PREPARE FOR TOUR
Nearly thirty pilgrims are preparing for their two-week pilgrimage to Lebanon and Syria. Organized by the Prelacy's St. Gregory of Datev Institute, the pilgrimage is being led by Bishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Vicar of the Prelacy, and Dn. Shant Kazanjian, Director of the Armenian Religious Education Council. They will depart on Monday, August 2, and return to New York on Monday, August 16.
They will be visiting many religious and historical sites in Lebanon and Syria including the shrine dedicated to the Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide in Der Zor and Mergadeh; Forty Martyrs Cathedral in Aleppo; historic Aramaic towns; house of St. Ananias in Damascus; St. Simeon's pillar; Baalbek, a pre-Roman site in the Bekaa Valley; the Catholicosate of the Holy See of Cilicia in Antelias and Seminary in Bikfaya; and many other sites.

LINKED IN WEEKEND IN OCTOBER
The Prelacy's annual LinkedIn gathering has become a popular educational and social weekend for young professionals and college students. Beginning Friday evening and continuing to Sunday, the weekend provides education through informative and thought-provoking lectures, spiritual enrichment through Bible studies, meditations, and liturgical services, and bonding with peers through discussion groups and fellowship hours.
This year's gathering will take place October 8-10 at the Holy Virgin Mary Spiritual Vineyard in Charlton, Massachusetts. The general theme for 2010 is "The Multi-Dimensional Aspects of Relationships."
